Frank
I set my alarm for 6:30 this morning so we can go to church at 7:30. I woke up and typhoon Frank is showing off in all its glory with rain and wind and everything.

So we had to put off church until later. There are already 17 confirmed dead due to the storm.
I was chatting with friend Mario from New Jersey and Ed from California. Ed's complaining about the hot weather there with the onset of summer. I went and shut a door banging with with the wind, when I came back the power went off. Then the phone rang and Myrna was calling asking how we're doing. She said a lot of the fruits from their mango trees have fallen due to all the rains. I told her I was worried about my euphorbia plants but Donna was more worried about all of the squatters in the area, which sort of grounded me a bit. Here I am thinking of my measly plants and she's worried about other people's welfare! Actually in Angeles City there are people that literally squatted on the river bed. I can't even imagine what'll happen to them once the river fills up with water.
We ended up going to church at Dolores in the 5:30 pm mass. The priest's homily was great, short but with a good message. I have to find out who that was. We then went to Tempura (our latest Japanese restaurant hangout) at SM for dinner, then did some grocery shopping and went home. It's past midnight now and the rains have finally let up. BTW, I bumped with a guy at the restaurant's restroom. He greeted me, "Hi Cong Rey." Didn't know the guy and he realized it so he introduced himself. He said he's Bong, Mike Estacio's cousin. He said he plays base for the band that played here in Greenfields during our 2007 Christmas party.
The latest news show 155 people confirmed dead due to Frank's fury and 700 people missing from a sunken ferry.
