Last Saturday we went to Leda's place in Muntinglupa. It was her youngest son Alvin's 12th birthday. A day of Karaoke for me and a lengthy session of kwaho for Donna and them. At around 9 pm, Berna was belting "Bituing Walang Ningning" when it started to drizzle. As soon as the song was finished, it started raining buckets, and I mean huge buckets here! It'll be hard for her to live that down! The Karaoke machine was on the outside so we had to stop. The kwaheras continued playing upstairs and I took a little nap after checking my eMail on Jay's PC.

Leda wanted us to stay the night but we weren't 'equipped' so we left at around 11 or so. Unfortunately, they detoured the roads a little bit and we ended up by the side of the Bilibid Prisons! Once we got out of there I missed a bridge and we sort of took the scenic route through the high rises of Makati instead of going straight to EDSA. We finally got back to Baliti at almost 2 in the am.

We got a text message this morning from Eph saying his Auntie Emy got some mail for his Mom from a certain Arlene Magana and it seems important. The name didn't sound familiar so we sent him and Emy a text message to call us on Len's landline and she did. It turned out the mail was sent by mistake. We took advantage of the call to catch up on things a little bit. She was saying how they missed us especially after church on Sundays when they usually drop by the house in Norwalk to have lunch and stuff. I told her not to fret because we'll be going back in February.

CONSTRUCTION UPDATES

Today, we went to the phone company and we paid the connection fee. Hopefully we'd have a land line this week sometime. They've also started installing our air conditioners. They should be up and running towards the end of the week. I sent V. Roque (our windows outfit) reps a nasty text message reminding them of their delay (again) in their final delivery. One of them replied, they'll make the delivery tomorrow which incidentally is when they'll deliver our two big tanks of LPG so mid week our hot water, washer and dryer will all be hooked up. We also dropped by our curtain maker and they showed us the sections that they've completed and they looked pretty good. So this week I told Armin to install all the rods necessary for the music room. In the meantime Kong Naring keeps on buying plants here and there for our landscaping. If all goes well I'm hoping on moving in this weekend.
