Christmas 2007
I know, I know we're in the middle of January 2008 and I'm now just doing my Christmas post. But hey, you guys asked for it so here goes...!
By the way, upcoming posts won't come in the way they actually happened. It's been a while so the order in which each event occurred is sort of hazy by now. I'm old and forgetful so sue me!!
:-)
As usual we went through Christmas in a blur. Isn't that the way it is all over anyway? Christmas break from school or work is over in the blink of an eye or so it seems.
We had Donna's nieces and grand nieces help out in putting up and decorating our Christmas tree like last year.

Donna's side of the family had a lot of fun especially my sister-in-law Tess who was able to take some time off to join her family over here. Her oldest daughter Paulette came with her family from Dubai, UAE. The only one missing among her children is her oldest Mike who's working on board the Queen Mary and he won't come back here to the Phil till March, I believe. But his family (wife Ayrin and kids) were here celebrating the Holidays with us.
Donna and I celebrated Christmas Eve with all of them at Paulette's house in Baliti and then we went and heard mass at St. Paul Novitiate here close to where we live.
We waited for the usual droves of relatives Christmas Day but my side of the family was curiously absent. A bunch of Donna's nieces and nephews came over, however. Donna cooked the ham that we brought from the US and she prepared a lot of other goodies as well.

But the highlight of the day was Donna and Leda doling out 'Christmas cash' (aguinaldo) like Santa Claus!

We had to just go to the barrio to give my nieces and nephews their aguinaldo to save them from spending more money to visit us here at our place in Greenfields.
