Panic!
Yes, I'm in a slight state of panic because there's so much I have to blog about and yet here I am procrastinating as usual. But I'm starting slowly but surely..
The problem is that the mood strikes me at the most inopportune time. Like right now, I have to take my badly needed nap but I have to finish this post so....
When we lived in Norwalk my boys pretty much nagged me about having cable TV installed which I never did. You see I'm a movie buff and I know that once I have cable TV, it'll never work for me because I would want to watch so many movies that I'll lose sleep and I'll be worthless at work, not that I was worth anything in the first place.
But now that both of us aren't working, I figured I deserved to have cable in addition to my really cool home theater system. And I was right. For the past several nights our average time going to sleep is between 2 to 3 am, yup, you guessed it, watching movies. The thing is, most of the movies we watch we've already seen! Go figure.
The result of which is the struggle of getting up the next day for our morning walk. I set my alarm at 6 am but usually I start to wonder while still half asleep, "What in the heck is that noise?", around 7 and by the time I get up it's a bit past 7. So we usually are on the street at around 7:30 and by that time Donna is already complaining how hot the sun is shining.
Truthfully, Indo has been my main motivation in walking lately in spite of all the weight I've gained. And in those rare cases that I either wake up too late or when it's raining, I do our walks in the evening after 5 sometime when it's fairly cool.
Below are shots of Mt. Arayat with a dead cashew tree on the foreground. I took these pictures here in Greenfields during one of our walks.

And one of my passion nowadays is tending our various plants especially the numerous euphorbias and watching my two chico fruits everyday - talk about watching the water boil, they don't seem to grow bigger. Either that or I probably should stop checking on them every day!

Hopefully I'll be able to blog about some other 'important' things next time.
By the way, I've told you we'll be grandparents soon, right?
I just thought I'd check...

Hey Pop - Rach had her first doctor's appointment the other day, and according to the nurse, the baby's initial due date is May 9. What's up with all the Maniago May babies? =)

I am here at the Marriott Residence Inn in Green Bay, Wisconsin reading your blog (on business trip). I am glad you are still enjoying your retirement. It is almost 6 pm, ready for dinner after doing a short walk by the river bank of Fox River and driving around the area. The scenery is beautiful, with the leaves of the tress turning to diffent colors. This place is very much different than Arizona.

I meant trees, not tree.
Say hello to Donna.

Hi Nestor,
Did you take Glo with you to Wisconsin?
One of our most enjoyable trips was when we went to Niagara Falls right after 9/11. We then went to Virginia to visit Gene and Angel via Pennsylvania with Ras. The drive was just gorgeous with all the fall colors.

Gloria did not go. I am back in Arizona. This was purely business. Your are right. The various colors of the leaves of the trees are very beautiful against the backgound of the very green grass and blue sky. I have to drive on county roads from the hotel to the Kewaunee Nuclear Plant I visited (about 45 miles away). The houses are about a mile from each other. It was a diffenent sight - cows, meadows, corn fields, silos, more silos. And I also have to watch for deers that may cross the road. Did not encounter one though. I passed through a small town. A billboard says, "No Mayor, No councilmen, Life is Great." There was one stop sign and maybe about 10 shops and bank that look like houses.
