I met with Armin and Kong Naring today at SM's food court. After lunch Armin laid out the final drawings and we hashed out some details, procedures, next-steps, etc. Armin said I'll need to submit 5 sets of copies of the drawings to the city to get a building permit. So I went to see Joey de Leon and did some consultations. He said I'll need to get a 'cedula' first. A 'cedula' is a residence certificate needed for any kind of transaction with the city. It's like a ticket for a start of 'red tape'. It felt strange filling out the form and at the spot that says employment, I put down 'Retired'!! Joey told me to tell the truth if asked but the lady just asked for my thumb print asked for P16.40 and I'm now an official resident of San Fernando. After which I headed on home to Guagua with plenty of time to finish my blog.
