Isla Puti, Ilin Islands of San Jose, OM
For those of you who've experienced jetlag, you'll know what I'm talking about.
It actually wasn't too bad on our first night here. I tried not to take a nap during the day. Although, that was really not too hard to do because we arrived in the afternoon, went to Eph's to pick up Rach and Dan and then we went to dinner. So, there was hardly any time to be sleepy anyway. When we arrived at Emy and Nido's place, it was a bunch of updates (aka chica-chica).
After going on line, checking eMail and latest Facebook comments, it was way past midnight when I went to bed. I woke up at around 5:30 am which was pretty good really.
Today was a bit different, however. At mid afternoon, I couldn't keep my eyes open so I figured, what the heck I'll take me a short nap.
After a while, Donna was nudging me, saying, "It's time to get up, it's 6."
I forced my eyes open, and was so disoriented, I thought if it's 6 am, why am I lying on top of the covers and why am I dressed up? Then I realized it's 6 pm and I've been sleeping for a couple of hours!
I attempted to update my blog but ended up reading my past blogs and clicking on the YouTube links of Reggie on the phone speaking Japanese and Indo welcoming us home last year. After a while I started watching a bunch of YouTube videos and then it was time to have dinner. I was washing the dishes while they were watching American Idol and Dancing with the Stars at the same time, flipping channels every commercial break.
And so here I am at 11 pm finally starting this post...
Our first outing in Mindoro was to visit Ilin and White Islands. These are a couple of islands off shore from San Jose. Ilin is much greener and bigger than White Island (Isla Puti) which is white basically because of all the sea shells on its 'ground'.
The Navarro siblings took care of hiring the boat to haul everyone. The first time I was here back in the 70s, we were on a pretty small boat and it scared the heck out of me. A small boat with no life vests and big waves with a non-swimmer like me is a nightmarish proposition. So this time I made sure we took some life vests with us. Fortunately, the boat was much bigger and the sea, calmer. We didn't even bother putting on our life vests.

And here's the whole set from that adventure.
