Broken Promises

The two shots on the left show the steel trusses being assembled at the vacant lot next door.

The picture above shows the wall foundations
of the master's bedrooms on the background
from the rearview of the house. The current
height of the cinder blocks is where the floor
of the rooms will be.

I broke my promise to keep the excitement up. Here's a taste of what's to come. I was told by Kong Naring, all the inside wall foundations will be up by tomorrow, which will be Saturday. Next week, they'll start to pour the concrete for the columns and the week after, the steel beams where the trusses are going to sit on will be put up.

    Hi Rey,
Looks like in general, its going well. What will you use for termite treatment? Usually out here in Arizona, the chemical is sprayed/poured around foundations and all internal areas surrounded by the house wall prior to pouring the concrete for the floor slabs.

    Rey,

Looks like everything is going smoothly just by looking at the pictures and reading your updates. We got back last Thursday night and Mary went to work the next day. I skipped my workout and went to the hospital after dropping her off because I had a sore/itchy throat and was coughing badly. The doc just gave me Sudafed and Tylenol and recommended rest and fluids.

We talked to Donna last Saturday and she told us about Girlie's new job at USAOPOLY in Carlsbad. I then asked what she's abstaining from during the Lenten season (which I answered for her - meat). She laughed real hard since she didn't have a choice with you being in PI.

Anyway, I just started posting some pictures in my blog and I'll probably get done in a couple of days. Here's the new link: http://londontrip-robert-lasig.blogspot.com

    Regards to everyone there.

Hey Pop, how's it going? It seems like this whole thing is really coming together. Are you satisfied witht the progress so far? When i look at your pictures, i feel so bad for your guys working in the sun all day. I hope they stay hydrated. The Cherry Blossoms are in full bloom. Spring time is pretty much here. It makes me sad because winter is over and the coming of the Cherry Blossoms is a sign of the summer to come. I HATE SUMMER in Japan. I'm going to buy a phone card sometime soon. I'll be sure to call you when i do. Well, i gotta go. I'll drop you another message or an email when i get a chance................Reg
